Adsorbi’s business idea is built around a novel cellulose-based material that finds interesting applications in especially indoor air purification. The basic technological idea is based on a special material that captures particles from air. This in turn is based on maximising the surface area of the material combined with a technology that captures the actual pollutants.
Metsä Spring made the investment in Adsorbi during the summer of 2023. Two other investors took part in the round. With the new financing, Adsorbi will work on improving the market traction for the product and develop the means to produce the material. Adsorbi marks Metsä Spring’s first investment outside Finland.
